3.1 Images You Upload & Processing

  • What we collect: Photos you upload to search for products.
  • Processing Method: To provide the fastest and most secure service, images are processed temporarily in our server's RAM solely to communicate with the visual recognition API. We generate a digital fingerprint (hash) of your image for caching purposes, but the image file itself is never saved to our persistent storage (disk).
  • Retention period: Images are discarded from memory immediately after the search results are retrieved. We do not store your images permanently.
  • Legal basis: Consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)) - by uploading an image, you actively consent to its processing for search purposes.

3.2 Technical Information

  • IP Address: Collected automatically for security and fraud prevention.
  • Browser type and version: For service optimization.
  • Device information: To ensure proper display on your device.
  • Access times and dates: For server maintenance and security logs.
  • Legal basis: Legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).

5.1 AliExpress Partnership & International Transfer

  • International Transfer: By using the visual search feature, you acknowledge and agree that your image data is transmitted to Alibaba Group (AliExpress) servers. Please be aware that these servers may be located outside of your country of residence and outside the European Economic Area (EEA), specifically in China or Singapore. This transfer is necessary to provide the visual recognition service.
  • When you click on product links, you are redirected to AliExpress.

5.2 Analytics (if enabled)

  • If you explicitly consent to analytics cookies, we may use Google Analytics.
